So yet again I have found another movie/book that looked interesting to me. Of coarse I cannot watch a movie unless I have read the book first.
Eat, Love, Pray was a very different book then that of what I usually read. I love to read novels and this was more of a bunch of experiences strung together about the author during a year of traveling. I did enjoy this book though. I loved Elizabeth Gilbert's insights and realizations. I also loved the people she met along the way. I related to the author in a way I haven't related to other authors I've read. This book was well deserving of it's place on the New York bestsellers list.
The movie was delightful! The rich scenery and delectable dishes, plus the witty lines and funny little mishaps we all have. Julia Roberts was perfect for the role and played the part of Liz Gilbert. I also loved all the secondary characters. The actors chosen did a good job and really helped move the movie along. The movie was long, but there is a lot of story to tell so that's to be expected. I enjoyed the movie quite a bit.
The movie and book were very similar with very few alterations. I would highly recommend them both.
