Remember Me is a movie that doesn't have a genre. It has romance, but it's not a romance movie, it's gritty, but not an action movie. There isn't a "good guy" or a "bad guy". It's a real life kind of story with real life kind of characters. Flawed people that are trying to figure out how to live when life has handed them lemons.
Tyler Hawkins is a twenty-two year old college student that is a little lost in his life. He deals with the loss of his older brother, a father who doesn't spend much time with his family, and trying to figure out what he really wants in his life.
I won't give much away because there is a lot to this story and I don't want to spoil it for anyone wanting to see the movie. But I will say that the acting is phenomenal! Robert Pattinson (Twilight), Emilie de Ravin (Lost), Pierce Brosnan, and Chris Cooper, along with many others that are well chosen for their parts. Every actor was completely believable as their character and really made the movie seem real.
I will say that this movie is not a movie you will be on the fence about. You will either love it or hate it. It's a movie that is a roller coaster of emotion. You will laugh and you will cry. But it will make you think, and I personally love stories that make me really think. In my opinion I would give this movie an -A. But like I said you will have to decide for yourself.
